focus on sustainability,
every day

Sustainability means making aware choices every day. Economically, socially and environmentally. Our commitment as a company is to act in the present to create a sustainable future.

It is no longer an option, but a priority. This encourages us to be more resilient, committing ourselves to anticipate risks, to adapt to the changing environment we are living in and to manage difficulties in innovative ways.

cooperation, adaptation and integration: the future of sustainability

Being clear about our sustainability commitments is as important as taking concrete action.

This is why Comprof decided to join the guidelines of the United Nations 2030 Agenda with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to promote a sustainable global economy, i.e. one that respects human and labour rights, protects the environment and fights corruption.

social responsibility

We have made a commitment to the community in which we act, because we are all involved in real change in society. As part of the programme’s mission and objectives, at Comprof we intend to develop new sustainable measures to engage consumers in actions.

Several challenges are waiting for us in the coming years.

Gender equality: Goal 5 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Comprof has already achieved this goal and more: in 2021, 70% of the workforce in the company is made up of women. But the challenge continues. The next step is to further increase women’s empowerment, a concept that the UN translates as “strength, self-esteem, awareness”.

Good Health and Well-Being for all and all ages: this is Goal 3 of Agenda 2030, that we also support through our help to Lega del Filo d’Oro. Sustainable development is also about healthy living. Scientific progress in this field is increasing and very important. But there is still much to be done.

The project

Since 2007 the “La Forza e il Sorriso” team has been organising beauty workshops for all women facing cancer who do not want to give up their beauty and femininity. To help them regain their well-being and self-esteem in a simple and funny way.

Why it matters to us

Women in Comprof are the heart and driving force of the company. We know and share their needs, we listen to them and support them. Hence our desire to stand by those who choose to keep their inner and outer beauty alive, during a battle such as cancer. For us, these women are examples of resilience and courage; women fighters that we want to support and celebrate every day.

The project

Since 1964 “La Lega del Filo d’Oro” has been the reference point in Italy for assistance, education, rehabilitation, recovery and enhancement of residual potential and support in the search for the highest possible autonomy of deafblind and psychosensory multi-morbid people.

Why it matters to us

Ours is a small contribution to a big reality: a project that helps deafblind people with a new way of talking to the outside world. A precious thread that connects us with the community in which we act.  An idea that goes along with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which points out the importance of leaving no one behind.  So that, with everyone’s support, no one is “isolated” any more and so that everyone can look to the future with more serenity.

eco responsibility

Our commitment to environmental protection includes reducing our impact on the planet, raising awareness of the issue and offering sustainable solutions, in line with Goal 15 of the 2030 Agenda: “Protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, the sustainable management of forests, combat desertification, stop and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss”.

The project

Treedom is the first web platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree from a distance and follow its history online. Since 2010, the year of its foundation, more than 1.000.000 trees have been planted all over the world. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and contribute to environmental, social and economic benefits.

Why it matters to us

We are proud of our partnership with Treedom. We decided to give a tree to all current employees and customers and to each new distributor who becomes a customer. It is the beginning of the Comprof Forest, a small ecosystem that will help absorb global emissions and make all stakeholders part of the change.

200 trees planted to date

1000 trees that we will plant in the coming years

50.000 kg of CO2 that our forest will help reduce in the next years

200.000 kilometres travelled by a car equivalent to the emissions absorbed

The project

WAMI is an Italian start-up that aims to change the world “one bottle at a time”. Its aim is to bring drinking water to as many people as possible, but also to do so while leaving a positive environmental impact. For every WAMI product purchased, 100 litres of water are donated to those in need around the world.

Why it matters to us

We try to go beyond the numbers. Because we believe that building a fairer and more sustainable world for everybody is possible. The first step is to make equitable access to drinking water available to all, even in the most extreme conditions, as indicated by Goal 6 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. With this in mind, through our partnership with WAMI, we will help install 7 faucets in District 4 of Salasaca, Ecuador to bring clean water to the homes of 41 people in the community.

The project

Plastic Bank® builds ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal regions, reprocessing materials that are reintroduced into the international supply chain as Social Plastic®. Members of the Plastic Bank® project receive a prize money for the materials they collect, enabling them to provide for their families’ needs (i.e. food, fuel, school fees and health insurance).

Why it matters to us

A future-oriented use of plastics and their consequent reduction is a contemporary worldwide challenge. By joining Plastic Bank® we promote the idea of the circular economy: minimise the plastic waste disposal in the oceans and, at the same time, fight poverty. A unique socio-environmental solidarity project in line with Goal 12 of the 2030 Agenda, which aims to decrease waste production through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse.
