Being clear about our sustainability commitments is as important as taking concrete action.
This is why Comprof decided to join the guidelines of the United Nations 2030 Agenda with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to promote a sustainable global economy, i.e. one that respects human and labour rights, protects the environment and fights corruption.
We have made a commitment to the community in which we act, because we are all involved in real change in society. As part of the programme’s mission and objectives, at Comprof we intend to develop new sustainable measures to engage consumers in actions.
Several challenges are waiting for us in the coming years.
Gender equality: Goal 5 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Comprof has already achieved this goal and more: in 2021, 70% of the workforce in the company is made up of women. But the challenge continues. The next step is to further increase women’s empowerment, a concept that the UN translates as “strength, self-esteem, awareness”.
Good Health and Well-Being for all and all ages: this is Goal 3 of Agenda 2030, that we also support through our help to Lega del Filo d’Oro. Sustainable development is also about healthy living. Scientific progress in this field is increasing and very important. But there is still much to be done.
